AWA IMAN RESIDENTIAL ESTATE ONNA: Udom's continued streak in nepotism


A cursory review of all Governors of Akwa Ibom State since its creation, reveals Deacon Udom Gabriel Emmanuel as the most self-centered leader, who strides in nepotism, unrepentantly.

Emmanuel hails from Awa Iman in ONNA Local Government Area. Since assumption of office in 2015, his governance focus and concentration is Awa Iman, his birth place. Over 20 industries of his administration are all quartered in his home. 

Not too long ago, he took a major facility of the Nigeria Police Force and a model Nursery/Primary School sponsored by the Federal Government and other agencies to Awa Iman. What manner of a Governor?

Doesn't Udom Emmanuel know that Akwa Ibom State has 31 Local Government Areas? Even when he decided to site the St. Gabriel Coconut Refinery in Mkpat Enin LGA; a neighbouring area to Awa Iman, he selfishly christened it after his late father. While it was fashionable to do so with the coconut industry, he has not seen the need to allow the Deep Seaport in Ibaka to be named after its location. According to him, every project of the state must bear Ibom, but why didn't he christen it Ibom Coconut Refinery? Is it not hypocrisy taken too far. Akwa Ibomites are wiser now! 
While Akwa Ibomites are still amazed with the wrongs being perpetuated and calling for fair distribution of amenities, Governor Udom Emmanuel is taking a multi-billion Naira housing estate for residential houses to Awa Iman covering a total area of approximately 60, 215 Hectares. 

This is about to happen, when Dakkada Estate and others,  are abandoned and  the land owners not paid compensations.

Is AWA IMAN RESIDENTIAL ESTATE another means to defend the wasteful spending of the 13% Derivation Funds Refunds and other accruals to Akwa Ibom State? 
Time will tell!

Akan Okon vs. Umo Eno: Prof Jideoni petitions security agencies against blogger for libel

Professor Jideoni Charles, a Professor of Professor of Graphognomy (Handwriting Analysis), Professor of English Language, and a linguist, has petitioned security agencies against an Uyo based blogger, Wisdom Bassey, over alleged libel. Prof Jideoni had carried out forensic investigation into the West African Examination Council certificate tendered by the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Pastor Umo Eno, before the Federal High Court sitting in Uyo, in his case against governorship aspirant, Mr Akan Okon, and adjudged same as unoriginal. The petition, as sighted by newsmen over the weekend, condemned a "damaging false report carried out by one Mr Wisdom Bassey who works online with Newsline9ja.com on the account of slander and libel against me in a newspaper publication by GLOBAL PILOT earlier this year."
