AKWA IBOM AT 35: God's Faithfulness In Steering The Ship Of Akwa Ibom State

To God be the glory for great things he has done for Akwa Abasi Ibom State. 

The journey from inception to 35years is a testimony of the commitments of the various leaderships that the State has transited through; to the development of the State and firm belief by her citizenries that Akwa Ibom is a great State.

On this note, I, on behalf of my family, felicitate with the Government, especially the present administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel for the Industrialization renaissance and human capital development witnessed; and the entire people of the State on the thirty-fifth Creation Anniversary of our dear State.

Let's keep our faith alive that Akwa Ibom will be greater than now and continue in brotherhood, to build the Akwa Ibom that we all will be proud of.

Akan Okon vs. Umo Eno: Prof Jideoni petitions security agencies against blogger for libel

Professor Jideoni Charles, a Professor of Professor of Graphognomy (Handwriting Analysis), Professor of English Language, and a linguist, has petitioned security agencies against an Uyo based blogger, Wisdom Bassey, over alleged libel. Prof Jideoni had carried out forensic investigation into the West African Examination Council certificate tendered by the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Pastor Umo Eno, before the Federal High Court sitting in Uyo, in his case against governorship aspirant, Mr Akan Okon, and adjudged same as unoriginal. The petition, as sighted by newsmen over the weekend, condemned a "damaging false report carried out by one Mr Wisdom Bassey who works online with Newsline9ja.com on the account of slander and libel against me in a newspaper publication by GLOBAL PILOT earlier this year."
