Akwa Ibom @35: Senator Eyakenyi extols Governor Emmanuel on strides

As Akwa Ibom State marks 35th anniversary of its creation, Distinguished Senator Akon Eyakenyi, who represents Akwa Ibom South (Eket) Senatorial District, has lauded the performance of Governor Udom Emmanuel, saying he has fast-tracked the growth of the state since becoming governor in 2015.

The Senator, who is the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State, in a personally-signed felicitation message said the Governor has indeed provided leadership, ensure the safety of the lives and property of Akwa Ibom people, unite the state and give every section of state a sense of belonging.

"In 2015, providence brought you our way. It has since been tales of trailblazing strides across various sectors of the Akwa Ibom State economy. Today, Akwa Ibom State is a leader in the aviation industry, we have the largest syringe manufacturing company in Africa, the only electricity digital meter producing company in Nigeria, the largest Medical Gas Plant in Nigeria, about the best Infectious Disease Treatment Centre with a Category 3 Virology and Clinical Laboratory and PCR Machines, our MRO which on completion shall be the best in Africa is almost ready, the Car Assembly Plant is nearing completion, massive infrastructural development etc," part of the statement reads.

She also lauded past leaders of the state for leaving behind lasting legacies.

Eyakenyi assured the Governor that her Senatorial District salutes the governor's "sense of commitment and dedication to the service of our state and shall stand by you till the last second of your tenure."
