AFRICAN COUNTRY'LL WIN WORLD CUP IF PLAYERS ARE BARRED FROM REPRESENTING OTHER COUNTRIES -MOURINHO

Legendary manager, Jose Mourinho has made a case for African players to be barred from representing countries in other continents other than that of their origin.

The Special One believes once this is done, African countries would start winning the World Cup.

He called on Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) to consider his plea and act swiftly in it.

"I want the world to see that Africa is equal with everyone, Africa are not behind with talent. They have talents to win any tournament, except that most of their best players are scattered around the world playing for other countries instead of their homelands".

" I know I won't be popular for making this statement, but #FIFA should make things fair by refusing to let players to represent other countries, this will make FIFA tournaments even more competitive not one sided."

Akwa Ibom Stakeholders reject Water Resources Bill

Citizen M.K.O A group of Akwa Ibom stakeholders comprising of traditional rulers politicians, academic dons, entrepreneurs, clerics, students and persons from other fields of endeavours have rejected the controversial Water Resources Bill. Converging at the auditorium of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Akwa Ibom State Council in Uyo, over the weekend the stakeholders, in a communique issued at the end of extensive deliberations featuring clause-by-clause analysis of the Bill, dismissed the Bill, describing it as oppressive and exploitative. The bill which was initially introduced and later rejected by the lawmakers during the 8th Assembly following public outcry, was reintroduced in the current 9th National Assembly in 2020.
