GO GET YOUR PVC!

Dear Constituents,

I write to implore you to endeavour to collect your Permanent Voters Card (PVC) ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had announced Monday, 12th December 2022 to Sunday 22nd January 2023 as timeframe for collection of PVCs in all 774 Local Government Offices of the Commission throughout Nigeria.

The exercise is for persons who registered between January 2022 to June 2022.

So far, the electoral commission has announced that the collection has been abysmally low. 

To this end, I respectfully appeal that you take advantage of the INEC window and collect yours.

With less than 3 months to the 2023 polls, we cannot afford to be complacent in our avowed mission of masterminding a ballot revolution in Etinan State Constituency, Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria. Our collective aim can only come to fruition when we exercise our franchise by putting our PVC to use.

I also appeal to you not to sell your PVC, or give out the serial number of the card to any person or group of persons. Available reports on the subject matter clearly indict agents of the outgoing Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government. Security agencies should wade in and bring those found culpable to book.

Our Party, the great Young Progressives Party (YPP) is on course to liberate us all in 2023.

Akan Okon vs. Umo Eno: Prof Jideoni petitions security agencies against blogger for libel

Professor Jideoni Charles, a Professor of Professor of Graphognomy (Handwriting Analysis), Professor of English Language, and a linguist, has petitioned security agencies against an Uyo based blogger, Wisdom Bassey, over alleged libel. Prof Jideoni had carried out forensic investigation into the West African Examination Council certificate tendered by the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Pastor Umo Eno, before the Federal High Court sitting in Uyo, in his case against governorship aspirant, Mr Akan Okon, and adjudged same as unoriginal. The petition, as sighted by newsmen over the weekend, condemned a "damaging false report carried out by one Mr Wisdom Bassey who works online with Newsline9ja.com on the account of slander and libel against me in a newspaper publication by GLOBAL PILOT earlier this year."
