The New Face of Etinan


Over the years, Etinan Federal Constituency, has been noted for underdevelopment; occasioned by negligence of basic leadership responsibilities.

The blame goes to the past leaders who had hidden our common voice under their lack of  culture of astuteness, determination and willingness to represent the people rather than themselves.

As the Biblical quotation says; though sorrows endureth in the night, in the morning there shall be  joy; the time has come for change.

A woman has appeared with strong-will; fully prepared to change the narration.

Dr. (Mrs) Glory Ekpo, the All Progressives Congress, APC, Etinan Federal Constituency Candidate for 2023 general elections, possesses tested and trusted capacity.

She has broken barriers in career and other sectors.

Also, she's a proud partner of the Akwa Ibom State Prosperity Project.

She's determined to give Etinan a New Face; driven by passion for human cum socio-economic development.

Akwa Ibom Stakeholders reject Water Resources Bill

Citizen M.K.O A group of Akwa Ibom stakeholders comprising of traditional rulers politicians, academic dons, entrepreneurs, clerics, students and persons from other fields of endeavours have rejected the controversial Water Resources Bill. Converging at the auditorium of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Akwa Ibom State Council in Uyo, over the weekend the stakeholders, in a communique issued at the end of extensive deliberations featuring clause-by-clause analysis of the Bill, dismissed the Bill, describing it as oppressive and exploitative. The bill which was initially introduced and later rejected by the lawmakers during the 8th Assembly following public outcry, was reintroduced in the current 9th National Assembly in 2020. The Speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey, has charged Miss Joy Camillus and Mr Victor Thomas to make the virtue of sincerity the pillar and centre of their marriage. Rt. Hon. Bassey gave the charge on Saturday at Ikot Asua Village, Nsit Atai Local Government Area, where he led Honourable Members to witness the couple’s traditional marriage.
