A TEACHER REWARDED ON EARTH

Remember the Classroom Teacher that the Governor of Borno State, Prof. B.U. Zulum met in 2020 at her place of work at 6:30am when he went to inspect the state of the primary school she works in? 
Mrs Obiagelli Mazi  from Abia State who has served Borno state for 31 years. After the Governor met her, she was instantly rewarded with some cash and then eventually promoted from a Classroom Teacher to an Assistant Headmistress and now, she has been allocated a newly fully furnished house along with other teachers in Maiduguri earlier recently.

Clearly a change of narrative.

Akwa Ibom Stakeholders reject Water Resources Bill

Citizen M.K.O A group of Akwa Ibom stakeholders comprising of traditional rulers politicians, academic dons, entrepreneurs, clerics, students and persons from other fields of endeavours have rejected the controversial Water Resources Bill. Converging at the auditorium of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Akwa Ibom State Council in Uyo, over the weekend the stakeholders, in a communique issued at the end of extensive deliberations featuring clause-by-clause analysis of the Bill, dismissed the Bill, describing it as oppressive and exploitative. The bill which was initially introduced and later rejected by the lawmakers during the 8th Assembly following public outcry, was reintroduced in the current 9th National Assembly in 2020. The Speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey, has charged Miss Joy Camillus and Mr Victor Thomas to make the virtue of sincerity the pillar and centre of their marriage. Rt. Hon. Bassey gave the charge on Saturday at Ikot Asua Village, Nsit Atai Local Government Area, where he led Honourable Members to witness the couple’s traditional marriage.
