The President, an apprentice-styled leadership training reality TV show is set to be launched in Nigeria soon.

The maiden edition of the show which is expected to commence on September 25, to October 24, 2022 is aimed at raising young leaders, preparing them to take up leadership responsibilities in government and the larger society with primary focus on enhancing good governance in Africa.

In a release made available to pressmen on Friday, 22 July, 2022 in Eket by the organizer of event, Prince Emmanuel Umem pointed out that the show was open to all citizens of Nigeria who are within the age range of 20-35.
He also stated that at end of the entire process, whoever emerges as “PRESIDENT” is entitled to prizes worth N5M including an executive leadership training school abroad and a one-year apprenticeship with an astute leader in Nigeria.

Prince Umem who spoke through one of the managers the show, Miss Enobong Nkanta, CEO of Eny-G Nkanta Media said despite the many years of clamour by youths to be afforded the opportunity to partake in governance, it was pitiably palpable that the Nigerian political space is still overtly dominated by the older generation.
“ Beyond giving the “Not too young to rule” demand, a reasonable approbation is also the challenge of actually institutionalizing youth participation in effective and meaningful ways and not just as token gestures.

“This is the course that “The President Reality TV Show” has deserved itself with. To hold a special focus on leadership with the intention of fostering the future of good governance in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

“The show intends to gather, host and train housemates on leadership and let them compete with each other based on the training. This training shall cover the rudiments of governance, politics and political aspirations,” he said.

Also speaking, Mr Wisdom David, one of the producers of show stated that away from the notion that reality shows was about showbiz, intended to shoot people to limelight and draw fame,The President Reality TV show was basically about equipping young leaders to be able to take over from where the older ones would stop while making noticeable, tremendous improvement, adding that efforts were in place to have them inculcated into government and key leadership positions in the country.

The President Reality TV show is a yearly apprentice-styled leadership competition which is focused on discovering budding leaders and taking same into leadership apprenticeship at the end of every session
