National, State Assembly Lawmakers quit PDP, join YPP in Akwa Ibom

Hon Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo, member representing Ikono/ Ini Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, and member representing Ikono State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon. Asuquo Nana Udo, on Saturday, officially joined the Young Progressives Congress (YPP).
The duo rescinded their membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and were joined by Senatorial hopeful and former House of Representatives member for Abak Etim Ekpo Federal Constituency, Rt Hon Emmanuel Ekon; former Commissioner in the state, Hon Samuel Udofia and other decampees to be presented during the party's official reception of 2023 governorship frontrunner, Senator Bassey Albert Akpan.

At the event held Senator OBA Multi Purpose Event Center, Ifa, Uyo, the bigwig decampees joined the party alongside about 15,000 members of Peoples Democratic Party PDP and All Progressives Congress APC.
They all affirmed allegiance to the party, promising to work assiduously for its victory in 2023.

Receiving the decampees, YPP National Chairman, Comrade Bishop Emmanuel Amakiri urge them to feel at home in the party, assuring that it is a wonderful family that cares for the interest of all and sundry.
