Ministerial Appointment: Luke congratulates Umana

Rt. Hon. Onofiok Luke, member representing Etinan / Nsit Ibom / Nsit Ubium Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives has hailed the appointment of Obong Umana Okon Okon his appointment and subsequent swearing-in as Minister of Niger Delta Affairs by President Muhammadu Buhari.

"On behalf of my family and the people of Etinan /Nsit Ibom/ Nsit Ubium Federal Constituency, I extend our gratitude to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, HE. Muhammadu Buhari for this well deserved appointment of our Constituent," part of the statement reads.

Luke also mentioned that Mr Umana's "track record of stewardship and dedication to public service are phenomenal" and expressed belief that he would bring his experience to bear in charting a new course for the Niger Delta region.

"May your days in office be fruitful in Jesus name," he prayed.

Umana, who hails from Nsit Ubium Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, was until his latest appointment, the Managing Director, Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority (OGFZA).
